Heel Spurs, also known as Calcaneal Spurs, are hooks of bone that develop on the heel bone or Calcaneus. They are often associated with but not caused by plantar fasciitis. Heel spurs associated with plantar fasciitis occur when the plantar fascia (thick connective tissue running from Calcaneus to the ball of the foot) becomes inflamed and worn down from excessive pressure. The actual bone growth or “spur” does not hurt; however, the pressure the spur puts on the tissues and nerves around it can cause extreme pain.
Although often seen in footprints and scans, heel spurs are best detected in X-rays.

Surgery is rarely the answer to relieving the pain caused by heel spurs. Removing them is almost never necessary because doctors now realize that they are not the cause of heel pain, but they cause inflammation in the tissues and tendons around them, which ultimately causes pain. Anti-inflammatory medications and quality arch supports are the very best way to deal with pain from heel spurs.

Ideal Feet arch supports are the best treatment for heel spurs, especially when caused by plantar fasciitis because Ideal Feet products are designed to keep excessive pressure off the heels, in turn keeping inflammation-causing pressure off the plantar fascia.

After 30 years of running…over 100 marathons and ultras world wide…my feet and legs were in need of help. Over the years I have tried many orthotic supports systems both doctor prescribed custom molded systems and over the counter insoles with no success. I saw the Ideal Feet ad on TV one late night and had to try one more time not really expecting success. Well I am back running comfortably at age 72. Thank you Ideal Feet.

“I purchased my inserts yesterday. While in the store being fitted with the corrective and maintenance inserts I could feel the pain in my right foot decreasing by the moment. After 1 hour in the corrective inserts and the rest of the day in the maintenance inserts my feet felt better than they have in 2 years. I’ve done 2 hours in correctives and have been using the maintenance inserts in a pair of shoes that I had quit wearing because of the pain they caused and I feel no pain in the sides of heel and very little in the ball of my foot. Before I wasn’t sure how I could even work, now I’m thinking about taking long walks in the nearby parks. THANK YOU Brandy and Ideal Feet!” Mark A., Irving, Texas

“I have had foot pain, particularly in my right foot for quite some time. In 1990 I fell off a ladder and broke both of my ankles. This caused an alignment issue due to my right foots ankle being fused. I also have had both my knees replaced and this may have also contributed to my current foot pains. I’ve used spring-soled shoes, had nerves deadened, and have had calluses continually shaved down. I’ve done all of this in order to relieve the pain.
After having heard Ideal Feet commercials for it seems years, I decided to stop and see what you had to offer. You were very helpful in not only telling me what to expect and after fitting me you demonstrated to me by the balance exercise you do, what you did for my standing equilibrium and balance.I now have been using my Ideal Feet inserts for about two months and have not experienced the pain and discomfort I had previously experienced. Thanks for your help and I hope this encourages other people to try your product and walk without pain.” Bill B. Plano, Tx

“I walked into Ideal Feet limping, having difficulty walking, in pain and swollen ankles. This was going on for over a year. I had even stopped doing my daily (3-4 miles) walk. I thought I would NEVER be able to walk normal again. I became depressed. I had gone to the doctor where I was given pain medicine, injections, physical therapy, wore a boot for 3 months, and he even wanted to do surgery. I refused the surgery! Then I came to Ideal Feet, where I was fitted with these inserts and my life has changed. I think back to almost one year ago, when I fell due to the pain I am blessed that I didn’t break my hip, arm, or neck I just had a purple and blue face/eyes for one month. I thank God for my inserts, I was treated wonderful here, and most importantly I have my life back. Although I have only worn my inserts for less than a week and feel absolutely great! No pain, no swelling, I can walk, hop, and be normal again. I am very grateful for the attention I received here and the healing of my feet. Thank God first and Ideal Feet for giving me my life back. I highly recommend this to anyone who feels what I used to feel.” Manvela, El Paso, TX

“I received instant relief from my foot pain with my Ideal Feet inserts. I have recommended them to friends and relatives.” Paula, Arlington, TX

“When I first came in I could hardly put pressure on my right foot. When I left, I was able to walk normal with no pain. I did what my sales person told me to do with the inserts the rest of the day. I had back pain too, but when I woke up the next morning, there was no pain in my back. Ideal Feet really works.” Jerry, Arlington, TX

“After having foot pain for quite awhile, I was fitted by Ideal Feet and in less than 3 minutes of walking around the store, the pain was gone. It feels good!” Harold, Arlington, TX

“Buying the orthotics was one of the best decisions I have made. My feet would get tired by the end of the day and would be very sore after working out. After wearing my orthotics, my feet feel relaxed and comfortable everyday. Not only has it helped my feet relax, but it has taken off all the pressure by helping my arch.” Yan, San Antonio, TX

“I have had foot problems for several years. I have tried many different shoes and cushions. I heard Ideal Feet’s and many times and decided to seek their help! After a short time my feet do not ache and burn. I have no pain!” Jim, San Antonio, TX

“I have had painful feet for 2 years. Looking for help. I was desperate. My salesperson was very helpful and very patient. My foot pain is now gone.” Janice, Plano, TX

“I came in with a lot of pain. I could hardly walk. I had tried everything. I went to different doctors in Mexico and United States. They gave me injections in my feet and they recommend I operate my feet, which I did not want to do. I had to use a cane to walk. I saw a commercial on TV and I went to try Ideal Feet. Ideal Feet rescued my feet. I felt like I went to heaven. I recommend them to everyone. I should have come to Ideal Feet first; I would have saved thousands of dollars.” Rose, San Antonio, TX

“I wear my orthotics daily and it has made a difference in the pain of my feet. I’m thankful that I found Ideal Feet.” Julie, San Antonio, TX

“I have been using the Ideal Feet inserts for a little over a year and I no longer have sore feet or lower back pain. I feel less tired at the end of the day because of Ideal Feet. The insoles are definitely a good investment. I would recommend Ideal Feet to anyone.” Paul, Louisville, KY

“I am very happy with my inserts they work great and my feet and back are much better now.” Stacy, Louisville, KY

“The pain in my feet and ankles had been increasing with my age and weight. We heard your advertisements and after much urging from my dear husband (!!), we went into your store and now, I am thrilled to say, I have a lot of my mobility back! Pain-free is wonderful! Just returned from a vacation of a lifetime and was able to sight see, shop and climb onto and off tour buses and trains with considerable ease. Your great staff have stayed in contact with me ever since—and I am most impressed with their caring attitude!

“I am a RN and am on my feet 12 hours a day multiple days a week. I started having ankle pain and went to my doctor, did physical therapy, etc, with no relief. A friend I worked with suggested Ideal Feet, and of course I was skeptical, but hey why not.

When I got there, the staff was excellent; they had great customer service skills and were able to demonstrate to me why and how their product works. I have used them for years now with no more ankle pain! I can go for 12+ hour shifts and still be fine at the end of the day. I would highly recommend this store for anyone with any kind of foot pain!” Dallas M., San Antonio, Texas

“I have always had pain in my left foot. I felt as though something was seriously wrong with it! I had trouble walking, running or even standing at times. I had no arches, and it felt as though the bones in my foot were misaligned! So, after many and many years of suffering and getting no help from Dr’s, I went to Ideal Feet! OMG! I walked out feeling as though my feet weren’t even touching the ground! Seriously! I’m not even joking or exaggerating! My husband even said I walk like a girl now!! I felt as though I could FLY! I not only had all the horrible foot pain, but also I have a bad back and scoliosis! I gave birth to a beautiful angel 5 years ago and he was born with Spina Bifida. He didn’t start walking till he was 3 1/2 years old. So basically I carried him everywhere! He now has a prosthetic foot and his clubbed foot has been fixed but still it put such a toll on my body that by 5pm every day I was pretty much bed-ridden because of the pain my body felt. So here’s the good news! Six months ago I went to ideal feet…and today I am a new woman!!!! =) No pain ANYWHERE on my body! Not my feet, back, knees, neck. My headaches are gone! My nerves are no longer pinched in my spine and I even sleep better! I would recommend ideal feet for EVERYONE!!! My dad is about to go and I know my mother in law is going to go for a visit soon also! I recently started working after being a stay at home mom to care for my disabled son, and I can just say that I couldn’t be more grateful to Ideal Feet for their healing arch supports! I don’t know where I would be today without them! THANK YOU IDEAL FEET FOR LITERALLY SAVING MY LIFE! AND BODY!” Julie N., Broken Arrow, Ok

I now have been using my Ideal Feet inserts for about two months and have not experienced the pain and discomfort I had previously experienced. Thanks for your help and I hope this encourages other people to try your product and walk without pain.” Bill B. Plano, Tx
